Black/brown ash basketry is taken to a new form when the traditional wood splint is showcased in Susan Kavicky's work. We will tour the San Filippo Foundation Place de la Musique; lunch at the landmark eatery Barn of Barrington Restaurant and, for the grand finale, we will visit retired and injured race horses at Wood End Farms. The charitable horse farm rehabilitates thoroughbred race horses for a life away from the race track.

Friday, October 10th, 2008 - St. Charles Scarecrow Festival
View over 100 different Scarecrow displays and continue along to set your eyes on the Harleys and cars on display. Peruse the many markets and shows which include: Autumn on the Fox Art and Craft Show, Antique Markets, Century Corners Outdoor Market along with live entertainment on the main stage. Hop on the free trolley cars to get around if you choose. Finally, we will meet up at the Paddle Wheel River Boat Dock and enjoy a one hour cruise along the Fox River.
